At the annual festival of the Christchurch Diocesan Mothers' Union yesterday, it was announced that Mrs G. Mason, a native of Christchurch, who is on furlough from the Melanesian Mission, had been appointed to represent the Christchurch diocese in Melanesia. Miss J. L. Buckland leaves Wellington on Saturday by the Rotorua on an extended visit to England. Mr and Mrs Frank Buttle, who have been in Christchurch for* a few days/have returned to Dunedin. Mrs Horace Wilson, formerly of Bulls, will arrive in Christchurch to-day and will make a short stay with her daughter, Mrs John Moore (Garden road) before continuing her journey to Dujiedin.
