The continued dry spell is creating work for the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board, which is busily engaged in coping with applications irom Hutt Valley farmers—chiefly j.narket gardeners—who are installing power pumps in order to irrigate their farms. Quite a large number of market gardeners are already using artesian water, but are now findinit that to make the best use of the water power pumping is necessary.
