All were fined, but so far none i of them had registered. i It was decided to write these people ; telling them that they must register j all their animals, failing which nni other summons would be issued in re- , spect of a second of their dogs. Prosecutions of cattle-owners who had al- : lowed their cattle to wander had also I been taken and in each case the owners ' were dealt with by the court. Other ! cases of owners whose names were I submitted were discussed and the clerk i was directed to prosecute. ! The monthly report stated that the ; water supply had been very good until a week ago. when there was a heavy Hood in the river which, when the waters subsided, left the intake high and dry. All teams were then sen! into the river and had succeeded in netting a good supply into the main race.
