ABDICATION OF KING OF SIAM

RETURN NOW CONSIDERED UNLIKELY SINGAPORE, January 30. It is reported here that the King of Siam is extremely unlikfely to return. His abdication is considered to be definite. The deputation which interviewed the King in England agreed to certain points the King advanced, and recommended their acceptance, but the Government refused. The King's heir, who is a minor, is now in Switzerland. He will probably be appointed King, with a Council of Regency.
