DUCHESS OF YORK TO LAUNCH LINER
BIGGEST SHIP IN INDIA SERVICE LONDON, January 30. The Duchess of York will launch the Peninsular and Oriental Company's liner Strathmore, named after her father, the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, at Barrow, on April 4. The Strathmore will be the largest ship in the history of the Peninsular Company, and the biggest and fastest ever built for the India service.
