RAILWAYS MAGAZINE FOR FEBRUARY
The February issue of the New Zealand Railways Magazine is a further example of the wide variety of topics and pleasing arrangements characteristic of this popular paper. Many of the articles are directly or indirectly concerned with railway matters; but in addition there are special features of general interest. Among the latter is the latest article by Mr James Cowan, in the series of "Famous New Zealanders." Mr Cowan has written this month on Wahanui, chief of the Ngati-Maniopoto tribe, who was a famous Maori warrior, statesman, and orator. "The Social Swim, or Big Fish and Little," is the title of a humorous feature written and illustrated by Mr Ken. Alexandsr. Mr Leo Fanning contributes "An Impression of Lord Bledisloe." Other articles are another instalment of "The Battlefield of Sport," a sporting article, "A Railway Express," "Wisdom of the Maori," "Pictures of New Zealand Life," "Among the Books." "New Zealand Verse," and the women's section.
