REGISTRATION OF DOGS

The Christchurch City Council.has warned the owners of dogs that they must register their animals as soon, as possible. Great difficulty is experienced each year in collecting registration fees, and it was necessary some time ago to institute proceedings against 15 owners, who were all convicted and fined and ordered to pay the registration fees. In consequence, the by-laws committee hopes that owners will register dogs within a reasonable time after January 1; and in cases where, the fee cannot be paid in full at once arrangements to pay by instalments can be made with the chief city inspector.
