«— . ILLUSTRATIVE EXHIBITION IN LONDON (Blini.-U OFFICIAL W!RK. t. P. S:-. . I (Received January 18, 7.5 p.m.) RUGBY, January 17, With the patronage of the King and Queen and the President of the Chinese Republic, an exhibition of Chinese art is being arranged by the Royal Academy to take place from November to March, under the auspices of the British and Chinese Governments. The exhibition will illustrate the culture and art of China from early time down to 1800. The Chinese Government has agreed to allow a large number of historic treasures from the Peking Palace, never before seen in Europe, to be sent to London for exhibition, and rare objects from private and public collections in Europe and America will also be lent.
