UARFIELD BRANCH There was a very large attendance at the final meeting of the Darfield branch of the Women's Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union. Mrs McMillan presided. An interesting demonstration on hair setting and a talk on the care of hair was given by Mesdames C. J. Ashley and M. E Price, who were accorded a very hearty vote of thanks. A "bring and buy stall, in charge of Mrs P. Fallon, to aid the general fund, was well patronised. The competition for the best iced Christmas cake resulted as follows:—Mrs R. S. Gunn 1. Mrs A. A. Stott 2, Mrs C. Price 3. The hostesses were Mrs F. Turner, Misses I. Stewart, M. Youngman, and G. Spriggs.
