4> Mr Justice Ostler was a passenger from Wellington by the Rangatira yesterday morning. Mr E. S. Brittenden, district traffic manager for railways, left for the West Coast yesterday morning on official business. Mr E. J. Williams, Canterbury and West Coast manager of the International Correspondence Schools (N Z.) Ltd., who has been relieving in Auckland for the last 12 months, has returned to Christchurch. 'Colonel S. C. P. Nicholls, D.5.0., O.C. Southern Command, left Christchurch yesterday for Blenheim, where he will represent the Southern Command in the official welcome to the Duke of Gloucester. The Very Rev. Monsignor Morkane is in Nelson, where he is spending a few days visiting relatives. He is expected to return to Christchurch on Monday. Mr E. F. Willcox, secretary to the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Association, will leave Christchurch on his annual holiday to-day. He wiU return on January 13. Mr Lloyd Wilson, of Wellington, who has been spending a climbing holiday at Mount Cook, returned to Wellington by the Rangatira last evening. The Rev. Clarence Eaton returned to Christchurch from Wellington yesterday morning. While there ne attended a two-day conference oi the Methodist Young Mens BiDie Class Convention, at which there were representatives from all par ts of the Dominion. Advice was received in Christchurch yesterday that Mr William Teeling, a member of the central committee of the Overseas League in London, will arrive in Christchurch on February 1, for a visit or. four days. Mr Teeling has been attending the Centenary celebrations in Melbourne.
