"BREAK-UP" PARTY AT SANATORIUM

PATIENTS ENTERTAINED The patients at the Sanatorium held their annual "break-up" party in the hall of the Coronation Hospital. The Commercial Travellers' Choir and Orchestra and members of the Sanatorium Service Association were present and contributed to the entertainment. After items had been given presents were distributed to the patients, who joined in the singing of Christmas carols. The medical superintendent (Dr. J. C. Macintyre) proposed a vote of thanks to the choir and orchestra and to the chairman of the Sanatorium Service Association (Mr P. H. Harris) and the women members of the association for the kindness they had done for the patients during the year. Mr A. L. Tucker replied. The Commercial Travellers' Orchestra was under the conductorship of Mr E. Jamieson, and the choir was led by Mr A. Lilley. The soloists were Messrs F. Eller, K. Hore, J. L. Tennent, A. Bassett, C. Miln, and B. Crowhurst.
