The Mayor of Feilding (Mr C. E. Taylor) has received advice from the Hon. J. G. Cobbe that had approved a grant for remodelling the old Technical School building in Feilding. This follows on representations made by the Borough Council as to the insecurity of the building, which sustained material damage in recent earthquakes. The work decided on is th* removing of the top storey and general strengthening of the remainder of the building. After holding short-term leases of the property for many years, the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association has concluded an agreement with the Cornwall Park irusuees S_ r a .Vears' lease of the Epsom Show Grounds. As vet, no definite plans have been made, but the association intends to carry out 3 scheme of improvements designed to make the grounds the most modern of their type in the Dominion.
