GARAGE DESTROYED BY FIRE

<j. Fire destroyed a garage and some sporting gear, garden tools, and other articles stored there shortly after 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. There was no car in the shed at the .ime. It is thought that the fire was started by some hot embers placed in a tin near the wall of the garage. The brigade was called out, but arrived too late to effect a save. The garage is situated on the property of Mr P. F. Mann, Papanui road.
