POSSIBLE INCREASES h A NEW AGREEMENT Two new agreements regarding thp wages and conditions of work of employees of the Christchurch Tramway Board are understood to have beep provisionally adopted at a conference on Thursday evening between a subcommittee of the board and representatives of the unions concerned. The agreements have yet to be drafted into form suitable for an award, and submitted to the full board for its - approval. r : The secretary of the board (M?,f ' Frank Thompson) and several mern-v; bers of the board said yesterday that; they could not verify or comment on re P or ted agreements, which were still committee business. One member indicated that agreements had been concluded, but had vet to be confirmed by the full board.
