NEW PROGRAMMES

Varied Entertainment at City Theatres Although there are musical comedies included, the pictures which will be screened at the city theatres during the coming week offer a wide variety of film entertainment. In the main group are "Bright Side Up," which has a particularly strong and varied cast, "Twenty Million Sweethearts," the Australian production, "Strike Me Lucky," featuring "Mo" of vaudeville fame, and two others, "Evergreen" and "My Song for You," the popularity of which has merited their being screened for a second week. At the Majestic a mystery drama will he shown, at the Grand a wild west drama which was very popular on a former visit to Christchurch, and at the Civic a fine English drama.
