BRITAIN AND DOMINION AWARDS (Received November 28, 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, November 28. Sir Norman Walker, in his presidential address to the General Medical Council, said that the Medical Act of 1886 made it impossible for the council favourably to answer requests from the Dominions for the recognition of their diplomas in public health. He had communicated with Mr Stanley Baldwin and he was hopeful that Parliamentary action might solve the difficulty.
