JUGOSLAVIA AND HUNGARY
DISPUTE STILL GOES ON GENEVA, November 27. Herr Eckhardt, chief Hungarian delegate to the League of Nations, has surprised the league by addressing to it a note in which he denies the right of Dr. E. Benes, Chechoslovakian Minister for Foreign Affairs, to preside over the council when it deals with the Jugoslavian note accusing Hungary of being associated with the plot to assassinate King Alexander. Herr Eckhardt says that because the Jugoslav accusations are exceptionally grave and concern directly Czechoslovakia and the good relations between Czechoslovakia and Hungary, Dr. Benes should resign the presidency of the council.
