TRAMWAY ADVERTISING
I TO T/l« EDITOS OK THE Sir,—May I have a .short spaco in your correspondence column, to ask why it is that the Tramway Board does not evenly distribute advertisements on the outside big boards of their trams. For example, on the Opawa line, we usually have cars number 36 to 47, and 150 to 161, and the lack of outside advertisements on this series of cars is very noticeable. I also notice that car No. 36 has two blank boards, while most of the others have one blank board. I would sugyest that the advertisements be more evenly distributed on our trams. It seems absurd that Cars Not;. 150, 154, 155, 156, and 159 should all be advertising one article. This is of course, merely a tion, and would, I consider, if one each of the advertisements were displayed on the cars on the Opawa roul< j , advertisers would thus k'et a fair share of things, and know their advertisements were seen on all lines.—Your:', etc., OBSERVANT. November 2U, 10,'{!, LMr .f. K. Archer, chairman of Ihe Christehu reh Tramway Board, who was shown this letter, said lie had no idea that tramway advertising was not evenly distributed. He would make investigations.]
