DUKE'S FILM SHOWN ON SUSSEX
FAREWELL PRESENT FROM SHIP'S COMPANY (Received November 22, 1.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 21. A radio message from H.M.S. Sussex, approaching Sydney, says the Duke of Gloucester, his staff and the ship's company sat till nearly midnight watching the screening of the Duke's own talking film copies of his Centenary activities. The Duke himself was amused at many little asides which escaped notice in the excitement of the momnit. Captain Bonham-Carlcr asked the Duke to accept photographs taken aboard of himself and the ship's company. The captain said: "To-morrow is a sad day for us. We are dreadfully sorry you are going. Please accept this photograph, which is not a very great thing. It is home-made. On examining it you will see not only a ship's company, but 500 of the bestlooking men in England." (Laughter.)
