BIG SHARK CAUGHT
IFBBS3 4SSOCUHOI TEUCtBAM.) . GISBORNE, November 17. One of the largest sharks caught in New Zealand waters was landed by a fisherman at Kaiti Beach, who trapped it in his net and shot it. The shark measured 23 feet long and ten feet round the girth. The species has not been identified. MAKO TOWS BOAT FOR TWO HOURS (PRESS ASSOCU.TIOH TELEGiAUJ NAPIER, November 17. A large mako shark was caught by a fisherman tiiree miles from the Napier breakwater yesterday. The fish was 10ft 6in long and exceptionally thickset, weighing 6001b. It towed a 16-foot boat for two hours before it was landed.
