STUDENTS' RECITAL
A very pleasant time was spent on Thursday evening, when the pupils of Mrs Florence A. Dalton, L.T.C.L., A.T.C.L., assisted by the pupils of Mrs Beryl Windsor, gave a recital in the Navy League Hall. The programme was interesting and cleverly arranged, the pianoforte and violin items being interspersed with elocutionary items and songs in character by Mrs Windsor's pupils. The following was the programme: pianoforte duet, "Simple Aveu," Wini Offwood and Annora Wright; pianoforte solo, "Mimicry," Marjorie Cornwall; violin solo, "Andante," Rex Marshall; song, Margaret Rule; pianoforte solo, "Melodie in F," Nola Soman; duet, "Frozen Nest," Nan and Lindsay Blackwell; pianoforte solo, "Andante," Dorothy Counihan; recitation, Jo Rule; violin solo, "Chorale," Ray Chaston; pianoforte solo,' "Evening Thoughts," Winton Lee;' pianoforte solo, "La Fille," Annora Wright; humorous monologue, Mona Dwight; duet, "O'er Hill and Dale," Joyce Couburn and Margaret Swan; pianoforte • solo, "Rustle of Spring," Melva Edwards; violin solo, "Rondo," Rex Marshall; duet in character, Margaret Weatherhead and Murray Lindsay; pianoforte solo, "Minuet," Lance Osborne; pianoforte solo, "Hungarian Dance," Alma Whittaker; duet, "Radiant," Elsie Saunders and Phyllis Home; recitation, Margaret Leslie; pianoforte solo,
"Londonderry Air," Ngaire Harris; pianoforte solo, "Allegro," Cyril Stanton; song in character, Jessie Leslie.
