* EARLY STATEMENT ABOUT NEGOTIATION'S [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, November 5. An announcement that he hopjd to be able to make a statement in a few days about the meat import discussions now proceeding in London was made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes), replying to an urgent question by the leader of the Opposition (Mr M. J. Savage) in the House of representatives to-night. Mr Savage had asked Mr Forbes whether, in view of the importance of the question of meat imports into Great Britain, he would make a statement on the negotiations that had taken place between representatives of New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
