DEDICATION OF BIBLE CRITICISED
(AXON'S ARGUMENT EOK INSPIRATIONLONDON, October 14. Canon J. O. Hannay. better known as George A. Birmingham, the novelist, preaching at Kensington, compared the translation of the Bible with the dedication to King James, which was written by the very same men. He said: "It contains every possible fault in English prose except a split infinitive. I can only suppose that while translating they possessed some power which might be called inspiration."
