PERAKI COVE
ACCESS FOR PUBLIC SOUGHT , To obtain access for the public to ' Peraki Cove, Mr W. A. Taylor, of the \ Sunlight League Tramping Club, has ] made representations to the Minister ' for Lands, the Hon. E. A. Ransom. He j is seeking to have opened a road ' which iS blocked by several fences j built by the adjoining land owner. l Mr Taylor tried to persuade the Wairewa County Council to take some action, but he was unsuccessful. He then placed the matter in the hands of Mr H. S. S. Kyle, M.P., to communicate with the Minister for Lands. 3 Mr Ransom has replied that depart- J mental officers will draw up a report, 1 and that he will communicate further s when the enquiries have been com- 1 pletcd. The Youth Hostel Association, which ' governs tramping in Christchurch, is ' taking no action in the matter. !
