WASH-HOUSE DAMAGED BY FIRE
♦; At 7 o'clock last evening, the Centra* Fire Brigade received a call to a sU" roomed house at 567 Madras street owned and occupied by Mr F. GPiesse. The fire started in a wa?bhouse attached to the house, wBKn was badly damaged. The rest of W house was filled with smoke, but on the arrival of the Fire Brigade"* fire was soon under control. It .» thought, that the fire was started w some glowing embers in the graw in the wash-house, which had W£» used while washing clothes during-«» day. The house was vacated when w e fire started. .
