The Mission to Lepers founded GU years ago. is celebrating its diamond jubilee by meetings in London. Many greetings from its various branches abroad and from lepers in homes of the mission in various parts of the world have been received. These include a banner sent by lepers in Central China bearing in Chinese characters the phrase. "Kindness to Chinese people." The record of the mission is one of quiet heroism and as it has grown its work has received increasing recognition, particularly from the Government of India. Messages were sent to Mr Wellesley Bailey, the only survivor of those who founded the mission.
