ENGLISH TEAM'S VISIT
ADMISSION CHARGES FIXED The- charges for admission to Wilding Park. for the matches in which the touring English lawn tennis players, F. J. Perry, G. P. Hughes, Misses D. E. Round, N. M. Lyle, and E. Dearman, will take part on November 9 and 10 were fixed by the management committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association last evening. The charges decided on are very much lower than the much-criticised charges for the visit of the English and Australian teams last season, and are as follows: —North and south stands, middle sections, 6s 6d; north and south stands, end sections, 4s; east and west stands, 2s 6d. The charge for school children will be Is rid, and they will have seats inside the court enclosure. Tax is additional in each case. Only one court will be used, and play will commence each day at 1.30 p.m. The committee will consider next Monday on what system the visitors will play and what New Zealand players, if any, should be asked to meet them. It is expected that by then it will be known whether R. Menzel, the Czech player, who was to have accompanied the team, but who has suffered a sprained ankle in the United States, will be able to take part in the matches in New Zealand.
