PIANOFORTE RECITAL
MADAME CHRISTINE RAWLINGS Madame Christine Rawlings, an English pianist, has made too few appearances on the platform in Christchurch, but these have been sufficient to persuade those music-lovers who heard her that she combines a rare command of the keyboard with great interpretative skill. To them, and to many others whose interest has been stirred by press and private reports, it will be a welcome announcement that Madame Rawlings is to give a recital on Thursday evening, at 8, in Charles Begg and Company's concert chamber. She will play groups from Schumann, Chopin, Beethoven, and Scriabin, all of first-class musical importance,, and including much that is oftener wished for than programmed. Mr Frederick Page (second piano) and Miss Nancy Estall ('cellist) will assist.
