There was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £6202 10s compared with £5831 on the second day last year. SIRE FOR NEW ZEALAND LONDON, October 6. One of the most discussed and most handsome horses in England, and second favourite to Hyperion, in the Derby last year, Lord Woolavington's colt Manitoba, is going to a New Zealand stud. Fie had eight races as a three-year-old, winning one, while he has failed to win a race in eight starts this season. He was second in the Newmarket Handicap.
Manitoba is a four-year-old colt by Manna, winner of the Derbv in 1925, from Tlervstede, by Snn-in-Law—Bcresinn, by Swy'nford—Brig of Ayr, by Ayrshire.
