Also, quotations shall continue at variations not exceeding an eighth of a cent a bushel until actual trade is made, when the ruies of the exchange will apply prohibiting members from offering to buy at a pric« higher than the current selling pric« or to sell below the current bid prica for future delivery of any grain dealt with on the trading floor. Officials said that the new regulations were not connected with tha recent activity in grain circles which followed the suggestion of Mr J. L McFarland, general manager of the Canadian Wheat Pool, to investigate futures trading.

Mr H. H. Sterling, the chairman of the Railways Board, has announced the financial results of the Railway Department's working for the four-weekly period ended on September 15. For the four weeks there was sn increase in gross revenue of £33,65 i. and _n increase in expenditure f.f £31,214, resulting in an increase in net revenue for the period of £2470. For the portion of the financial year from April 1 to September 15 the gross revenue increased by £175.697 and expenditure by £120,118, resulting in rn increase in net revenue for that poition of the financial year of £55373 compared with the corresponding portion of the last financial year.
