A member of the Ellershe town Board was faced with a dilemma at a recent meeting of the board, when standing orders demanded that he vote for either a motion or an amendment, while he dissented from both. When the chairman ruled that all members must vote, the member overcame the difficulty by retiring while the vote was taken. On his return he moved a further amendment, which later became the decision of the board.
