CONTRACT FOR NEW HANGAR

♦ DEVELOPMENT OF WIGRAM AERODROME Tenders will close next Tuesday for the erection of a large new aeroplane hangar at Wigram Aerodrome. The hangar will cost approximately £20,000 and will be the largest yet erected in New Zealand. The Public Works Department has already received a number of estimates for the work. A start will probably be made with the contract before the end of this month. Work will be provided for six months for between 40 and 50 men The new hangar has been planned to provide every modern device for the handling and storing of aeroplanes Ihe building will cover an area of 180 ft by 90ft, and will have electrically operated doors.
