INFECTIOUS DISEASES

Fourteen cases of infectious diseases were notified from the Canterbury and Westland districts to the Health Department at Christchurch last week. Three cases of tuberculosis were on the West Coast. The details for Canterbury were:—Scarlet fever 1, tuberculosis 5, hydatids 1, undulant fever 2. puerperal fever 1. There were two deaths, one from tuberculosis and cne from puerperal fever. Both deaths were in Canterbury.
