♦ MEETING OF BOAKD A meeting of the Papanui Domain Board was held in the Waimairi County Council offices last evening with Mr W. J. Walter in the chair. Others present were Messrs \V. G. Chapman, R. Kilyatrick, D. Donaldson. R. Clark, C. W. Moore, and R. H. Price (secretary). Mr Chapman criticised the lack of interest shown by the Papanui Amateur Cycling Club in the track at the domain. He said that it would have increased interest if the finish of the "Round the Gorges'' race had been arranged at their own track. He was sure that a good crowd would ha\ ■*■ assembled. The meeting decided t::r: the members of the board ~h.v.:\: meet the delegates from the c>ch:'.-: club at the domain to-morruv. at 3 p.m., to see what could be do;.c to improve the track. The secretary was granted -.x c months' leave of absence, and Mr Kapatrick was appointed to take "h-i position in the meantime. A letter was read from the Waimairi Rugby League Club thank:; -r. the board for the use of the d«.;::.::.: during the last season, and enclo?.i.one guinea.
