RUGBY LEAGUE ANISY SHIELD GAME TO-MORROW The final Rugby League match of the season will take place at Monica Park to-morrow, when Canterbury will play West Coast (the holders) for the Anisy Shield. Early in the season these two teams met at Greymouth in the Northern Union Challenge Cup game and this was won by Canterbury by 22 points to 15, after a brilliant exhibition of the code. That game is still spoken of as being the best exhibition of football seen on the coast for many years. The Canterbury team is a very young but strong side and led by J. E. A. Amos has a good chance of winning the shield. The team plays good, open football, and the backs are particularly smart, opening the game up on all occasions. Their reverse and scissors passing is really clever. The West Coast team is a good combination and includes seven players who have represented the South Island in the code. While the main strength of Canterbury appears to lie in their backs their forwards are a sturdy lot and ideal League forwards. The West Coast forwards, however, seem to overshadow them, but the backs do not appear to have the speed of the Canterbury players. The game should be very interesting with honours about even. The representative match will start at 2.45 p.m. and will be preceded by a game between Blackball (West Coast) seniors, and Sydenham, commencing at 1.30 p.m. The St. Joseph's Boys Band will play selections during the afternoon. The teams are as follows: West Coast —L. Martyn 10-10; J. Devenport 12-8. A. Beban 11-2, J. Roberts 11-0; E. O'Brien 10-8, J. Dodds 11-4; T. O'Connor 11-0; forwards: J. Caldcr 13-7, J. Tallentyre 13-2, V. Smith 13-6, S. Perrin 12-12, C. Etheridge 13-0, W. Glenn 13-0. Canterbury—F. Ayres 11-0; R. Cliaston 11-3, W. Raistrick 11-2, T. Wellsmore 11-4; L. Young 12-2, J. Amos 13-10; J.
