HOTEL DESTROYED
* FIRE AT WALLSEND fl'lll-'S.-i ASMOUA I M,N 'I Rl.l-.u II AM.) GREYMOUTH, August HI. Fire destroyed the Albion Hotel. Wallsend, this morning. Nothing was saved except a few personal belongings of the licensee, Mr E. Moore, and his wife, who, with their niece, were the only occupants. A neighbour at 3.80 a.m. smelt something burning, and iound the hotel on lire. He aroused the occupants, who escaped. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen. The building, which was 50 years old, was a wooden structure of two storeys. It was owned by the licensee.
