Stock, due 1946, changed hands i at £lO7 7s Od and the Bonds, due 1940, ( at £IOB ss, market closing firm for both. 1 E., S., and A. Bank shares were firmer, with buyers and dealings at i £5 (is, sellers at £5 6s 6d. National Bank of Australasia, £5 paid, advanced to £6 sa, sellers staying in at that figure, buyers at £6 4s 6d. ! Bank of New South Wales, ex dividend, rose sharply to £32, market closing 2s 6d on either side. Bank of New Zealand were firmer at, 47s ■ Cd, closing quotations 47s 4d buyers, ■ 47s Od sellers. New Zealand Insurance moved up : to 635, and late offers of 62s 3d failed : to attract sellers. South British firmed ■ to 84s, closing quotations 6d on either . side. Standard Insurance were firmer : on buyers' offers, 6Gs 6d. New Zea- ' ' land Guarantee Corporation remained . unaltered at 4s 6d, and there were : further sellers at that price, buyers ; ut 4s sd. : New Zealand Refrigerating, 10s paid. ( advanced to 9s, and more were wanted at that price, sellers at 9s Id. Australian Glass were firmer, with ( buyers at 51s 7d. Broken Hill Pro- t prietary were fractionally weaker, with sellers and dealings at 48s 9d, buyers at 48s 7d. Electrolytic Zinc, [ ordinary, cum dividend' advanced to 27s lOd, market closing 27s 9d buyers, 23s sellers. Consolidated Brick were firmer on buyers' offers. 9s Od. Mining Alexander Mines, fully, paid, were firmer, with dealings pt 19s and further buyers at 18s 9d. Bell Hoopers. Is paid, remained unaltered at 5Jd. Brian Boru recovered to Is 5d and Is 6d, buyers staying in at the higher price, sellers at Is CJd. Glenroy had dealings at Is 2d, market closing Jid on either side. Goldfields Dredging were firm at Is 2d, but late sellers offered at Is ljd, buyers at Is Id. King Solomon, cum dividend, were steady at 4s 3d, market closing Id either way. Mount Lyells were fractionally firmer at 20s 3d and 20s 4d, closing quotations 20s 3d buyers, 20s 5d sellers. Waihi Grand Junctions moved up a point to 4s 4d, and more were oilered at that figure, buyers at 4s 3d. Worksop Extended were a shade easier at Is Bd, market closing Id either way. Mossy Creek recovered to Is 7ld, sellers staying In at that price, buyers at Is 7d. Skippers were easier, with buyers and business at 6|d, sellers at 7d.
