The Australian cyclist, Hubert Opperman, is a passenger by the Rangitata, and will join the Wanganella tomorrow for Australia, to which he is returning with his wife after a visit to England and the Continent. Opperman will take part in the Centenary race at Melbourne. While in Britain he broke five records, three of them in the Land's End to John o' Groats event.
