GOVERNOR-GENERAL TO VISIT AUSTRALIA
PERMISSION OF THE KING (IRIaS ASSOCUTIOK TELKSBiU.) WELLINGTON, August 20. The Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe) has received the permission of the King to visit the Commonwealth in October. He proposes to leave with Lady Bledisloe on October 5 for Sydney, and to return on October 23, and hopes during his short period to become better acquainted with the present economic, social, and other conditions of the Commonwealth. The Chief Justice (the Rl. Hon. Sir Michael Myers) will act as deputy during Lord Bledisloe'si absence.
