FORESTERS' BALL
The annual ball of the Court Papanui Foresters was held in the Papanui Memorial Hall, and proved very successful, about 300 guests being present. The colours of the order were used in the decorative scheme throughout the hall, and palms and greenery brightened the stage. Music was provided by the EvansCampbell band, and extras were played by Messrs F. Smith and F. Comyns. Messrs D. Donald and L. Sneddon were masters of ceremonies. The following lodges and courts were represented:—Canterbury United District, Courts Star of Ashburton, Star of Belfast, Queen of Canterbury, Victoria, Star of Canterbury, Thistle of the Forest, Woodford, the Manchester Unity, 1.0.0. F., and the Loyal Orange Lodge. Novelty dances were won by Miss James and Mr McArthur, Miss Brown and Mr C. Fantham, Mrs Morrison and Mr Comyns, Miss McGimpsey and Mr Boulton. .
