Chief Telfcr extended! a welcome to Chief Thompson, of the Timaru Scottish Society. Chief Telfer referred to th# severe loss the society had buffered by the death of Mr 3. P. G, Cochran and Mr A. T. Reid. A lament was played by Pipe-Major J. McLnchlan. The programme for the evening west arranged by Crs. J. MeLachlan end A, B. Caithness: duet, Miss Heather MeLachlan nna Master Pat McLean; sword dance, Miss Alma Kennedy; song Mies Malvine Upton; song, Mr C. OHagan; pianofcm selection, Miss May Harding; sons, Miss Jean MeLachlan; sean triubhais. Miss Jean Smith; song, Mr W. J. Hunter; happiness pair, Lawrence sisteraj song, Master Pat. McLean; Irish jig, Miss Heather MeLachlan. Miss Alice G. Gibb was the accompanist. Mr W. J. Hunter moved a hearty vote of thanks to the performers and Crs. MeLachlan and Kennedy. After the concert a dance was held, Mrs Creagij supplying the music.
