«. NORTH CANTERBURY GUN CLUB'S CHAMPIONSHIP Tlia North Canterbury Gun Club's livot pigeon championship shoot was held at Rangiora on Saturday afternoon, and was won by It. S. Taylor, who, with a flrst-barrel performance, shot the possible. A. N. Turner, with 11 kills, was second. Thq condition# ware 13 birds off 26 yards, and ths prizes were an open onlcr valued at j;;{ 3s, provided by the club, and an order valued at £2 2s, given e by the secretary. Hruere .. 111012001111 0 Two handicap sweeps were hold. In tho first A. N. Turner (27yda) and I. G. Watkin# (24yds) divided, ar.d in the second B. fi. Taylor (30yda) and A. N. Turner (28yds) divided. A box sweep oiT 34 yards was won by 11. Anderson, and in a similar event A. N. Tur" ner and M. Anderson divided. Two douljle-ri»o sweeps off 26 yards wero won hy I. <j. Walking and K. S, Taylor tv spectively.
