Twenty-first Christchurch Mcri-; vale Company—On Thursday, August | 9, guides and parents spent a very j enjoyable evening when Mrs Living- j stone (district commissioner) visited the company and enrolled 10 girls. ! After the enrolment Mrs Livingstone I read some verses which Mrs Wilson i chief commissioner) had j sent the commissioners, and the guides ' took them down. The rest of the even- i ing was spent in games and singing. [ Combined Church Parade—Both the guides and brownies of the Lower and j Upper Riccarton Companies combined in a church parade. Mrs Livingstone (district commissioner) was present. The Rev. Mr Ault preached. After the service two brownies "flew up" to guides.
