SIR ARTHUR DUDLEY DOBSON
* MEMORIAL AT THE PASS Members of the Sunlight League and Youth Hostel Association of New Zealand who attend the combined gathering in the Jellicoe Hall this evening, will be given an opportunity, through a contribution made at the door, to assist the fund established for the erection of a memorial to Sir Arthur Dudley Dobson. The association has planned that its memorial to Sir Arthur should be a memorial seat, built in rough stone and covered by a roof, at the head of Arthurs Pass. The ranger of the pass has written stating that there is a great lack of shelter on the top of the pass, and when snow is met with such a shelter might be the means of saving life. The treasurer of the league has already received two donations to the fund. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, will speak at the gathering this evening.
