Mr and Mrs Alex. Boyd, of Kr.ikoura Suburban, celebrated their golden wedding on Tuesday, and were heartily congratulated by a large number o£ residents who assembled at their home. They also received a number of valuable presents, Mr Alex. Boyd is one of the most popular men of the district, having been an inaugural member of the local Agricultural and Pastoral Association and taken part in all the activities of the district. Mrs Boyd is held in high respect, and is Of a very kindly and generous disposition. The death has occurred of anolher of Kaikoura's old identities in Mr.-J John Nicholson at the age of (it) years. She was born in Kaikoiira. being the eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Garrett. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated this morning, and the funeral will leave the town church at 2 o'clock.
