METHVEN LADIES' CLUB The Methven Ladies' Golf Club played an 18-hole bogey match on the Mount Harding links. This was won by Miss Natalie Holmes with 1 up, Mrs A. White being second. His rounds to-day Were 73 and 68. Percy Alliss was second, with 282, and Boker (France) third, with 236. A. H. Padgham unfortunately misread his starting-lime, and the officials were reluctantly compelled to disqualify him when he was late. MISSES GAISFORD AND KAY IN AUSTRALIA FREMANTLE, August IS. Miss Bessie Gaisford and Miss Oliver Kay, New Zealand golfers, arrived from England by the Strathnaver. They will compete in the championships in the eastern states. Both agreed that Miss Pam Barton, the 17-year-old runner-up in the English championship, was the outstanding personality in women's golf in Great Britain, and was sure to be the champion of Great Britain before long.
