The reserves and funds of the State !Fbre Insurance office at December 31 last amounted to £991,087, with £952,299 in 1932 and £918,682 in 1931, according to the annual report of the office, tabled in the House of Representatives to-day. The income from premiums in 1933 was £201,351, in 1032 £208,493, and in 1931 £216,007. The various surpluses were £71,972 l'or 1933, £00,013 for 1932. and £41,799 for 1931. The reduction iri premium, income was due mainly 1,0 adjustment of thfc amounts insured to a lower level, in accordance with present-day values, states the report.
