Aitken and H W Rogers (Christchurch Suburban). The chairman, referring *? the position of Banks Peninsula, said that tne teams were so scattered that there seemed to be small prospect of that sub-association taking part m the competition for the shield. The following draw for the subi associations' shield was agreed to:— First round—Amuri v. Christchurch Suburban, on Amuri ground; North Canterbury v. Ellesmere, on North Canterbury ground; Malvern a bye. Second round: Malvern v. winner ; of North Canterbury and Ellesmere ; match, on Malvern ground; winner of Christchurch Suburban v. Amuri a The first round must be commenced not later than November 21. The date* of the second round matches and the final will be arranged mutually. December 5 was fixed as the date for the Town v. Country match and, as previously, suburban players will be included in the Town team. The chairman stated that there would *be little difficulty in sending a colts team to Doyleston on Labour Day. No doubt the management committee oi the Canterbury Association would give the question favourable consideration. On the motion of Mr Osborne, a vote of thanks was passed by delegates to the Canterbury Association for' the manner in which it had fostered the game during the year.
