DEATH FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK (VUESS *SrfuCI*TION rELEOKAM.) AUCKLAND, August 14. The death occurred in the Auckland Hospital of Frederick Freeth, aged 46, of Glen Eden, who had been in a serious condition since his admission on May 26 with severe burns and shock received when the guy wire of a radio mast he was erecting came in cootacl with a high-tension electric power line carrying 11,000 volts. 1 ALL FROM FIRE ESCAPE (VBESS 4SBOCUTIGM CKLEOEAU.I DUNEDIN. August 14. Serious injuries were received about 11.30 o'clock last night by a married woman. Pearl Greig, when she fell from a fire-escape on the second floor of the Criterion Hotel. The police have not yet, in view of her condition, ascertained how the accident occurred, but it is understood that she was endeavouring to leave the hotel, in which she had booked a room earlier in the same day, and fell 30 feet, fracturing a leg and suffering scalp wounds and internal injuries Mrs Greig. who lives in Cumberland street, is about 23 years of age.
