At a meeting of the Otago Farmers' Union to-day a strong protest was registered against the proposed levy on wool for research, and it was decided to send a representative to give evidence in opposition before the agricultural committee of the House of Representatives. It was considered tlint the only means of improving "wool was through a Live Stock Improvement Bill.
